AW 25-26 Decodings: Designs

Autumn-Winter 25-26 is a season all about contrasts. Opposing points of view collide, leading to new creative avenues.
In Designs, this cross-fertilization manifests itself through distinct yet complementary themes.

The first theme celebrates the emergence of Delicate Expressiveness. The desire for softness is reflected in plant-inspired and abstract motifs. Stylized and blurred, they unfurl gracefully in pastel or desaturated harmonies.

The second theme, centered on tradition and folklore, is Inclusive Extravagance. An abundance of traditional representations of nature overlap and interact with each other in an exuberant mix of styles.

Delicate Expressiveness

The season’s decorative prints take their cues from nature, encouraging us to look at it in a poetic, almost abstract way. Yet these seemingly gentle motifs reveal an unexpected depth.

Traditional flora and fauna motifs are twisted. Emerging from dark grounds, as if captured by flash at night, they take us by surprise with their strange, slightly unsettling allure. Meanwhile, graphic treatments oscillate between the meticulous precision of a scientific drawing and a hallucinogenic blur. Florals for both men and women.

Brushstrokes are isolated then combined: a chaotic process that still emanates a certain softness thanks to the use of transparencies and pale colors. Even the darks become delicate, thanks to desaturation techniques that render them more gray in tone.

Inclusive Extravagance

Counterbalancing the mood for purity and softness is the distinct desire to shine. Creativity reigns supreme here, with bold designs that confront cultures, traditions and generations.

This season, extravagance is expressed through flora and fauna with a folkloric feel. Symbols interact and overlap with a baroque opulence. Animals seem to be hiding from view, concealed in luxuriant flora. For vibrant animal prints imbued with mystical overtones.
