More comfortable, more sustainable, more shimmery, winter’s cottony fabrics have been regenerated by intelligent blends. All-cellulose fabrics, like Tencel cotton, are comfortable and recyclable. Synthetics offer long-lasting durability. The surprise comes from stretch fabrics, where mills have succeeded in reducing elastane percentages without compromising stretch.
Velvets
From baby cords to lushly rounded wide-wales with downy faces and brushed backs, cottons are softened with modal, Tencel or even silk, while stretch qualities languorously expand. It’s good to be alive in velvets that make colors sing, by turn whitened or luminous.
Sturdy Density
