ITS Artea, a modern research hub for the fashion of the future The - Blossom Première Vision
The future isn’t so unfathomable. ITS Artea fabrics offer us a fresh glimpse into the fashion of the future, their mettle to experiment stemming from a in-depth knowledge of weaving and finishing techniques.
ITS Artea – Gruppo Colombo has always bet on forging special fabrics: coupled, laminated, frosted and resinated. Features that today are much cherished in the avant-garde and high-end prêt-à-porter scene.
For Blossom PV, due in December, the company has put together a selection that brilliantly epitomises the Group’s philosophy, and offers a family of Made-in-Italy textiles ranging from technical and jacquard details to silks with a contemporary twist, down to synthetic contents. Cotton, in different weights, takes up a special place in the collection, featuring treatments that make them high-performing, coupled, laminated, and that bring to mind the old “Mackintosh” flair.
The city of Como and its territory are also renowned for their prints. ITS Artea employs various printing techniques, and their archive is undoubtedly one of their foremost assets, which acts as a fil rouge in the development of new collections, a tribute to Como’s textile tradition.
While honoring tradition, the company is constantly researching into techniques and materials, so as to invariably come up with new and innovative printed fabrics, such as graphene, “puffing”, textured, reflective, metallic prints.
The high-performance of their fabrics is essential for ITS Artea, without ever overlooking the aesthetic, vogueish side. The highlights for the SS26 season are super light, wavy, opaque creations, featuring cottony hand, fine yarns, fabrics enriched and treated with high-tech, high-performance printed membranes, withstanding up to 20,000 mm water column. The ideal interpreter of these collections is a glamorous, up-to-the-minute woman. A woman who knows how to lend a peppy twist to her wardrobe through shiny, mirrored and laminated textiles, turned into iconic garments by the topmost fashion houses worldwide.
