SS 26 Decodings: Accessories

Spring-Summer 2026 sees know-how taking centre stage. In this context, accessories and components explore a diverse range of techniques and trades, unveiling the full richness of their heritage.

3D Ornamentation

Subtlety takes a backseat this season. Textiles and leathers compete in creativity to captivate the eye. The same opulent approach can be seen in accessories, where techniques are highlighted and designed for layering. Pleating, trimmings, featherwork, and embroidery—far removed from minimalism, accessories and components are asserting themselves as distinctive products, enhancing equally exceptional bags or garments.

Ornamentation unfolds in 3D with dense, tousled, and abundant visuals, creating pieces that feel both airy and luxurious, inviting more tactility. Decisively bold feathers and raw-edged tulle ruffleserupt into textile compositions extending to panel formats, elevating embellishments to haute-couture levels. Figurative, floral, botanical, or even narrative elements permeate the decor, crafting miniature worlds in their own right.

Sensory Colour

This season’s colour ranges are emotion-driven.
They begin with pure, unbleached whites—an “absence” of colour that shifts the focus onto the product’s other dimensions: material, texture, and a mastery of intricate techniques. Delicate broderie anglaise meets fine tulle and subtle knits, composing a palette of ecru shades reminiscent of plaster bas-reliefs.

Pale hues then emerge, bringing a sensation of freshness. Frosted effects in ice blue, lilac, and soft greens create a cold, translucent colour play on buckles and rings.

Initially discreet, these shades gradually intensify, appearing across various materials—from airy textiles to components like buttons. Here, colour spreads like new watercolour-style tie-dye, forming seemingly hand-painted, spontaneous, expressive, yet urban and modernised patterns.

Colouring makes way for decolouring. Refined accessories—embroidered panels, chains, and feathers—appear faded, embracing a denim-inspired aesthetic. The result is a modern reinterpretation of sophistication, blending casual and couture influences.

Make-up Focus

Make-up, a vehicle for creativity and personal expression, continues to captivate younger generations on social media. Its polished aesthetic and rich textures are also inspiring an entire generation of creatives. Precious and sensual make-up is seamlessly melting into accessory collections with blush-toned hues, glossy finishes, velvety matte effects, and lacquered coatings.
